I was raised in a Baptist, Christian home in Midland, Texas and have attended and served in church all my life. I gave my life to Christ at age 9 and committed myself to Christian ministry at age 17. My original calling was to the ministry of music. Since then, God has continued to develop me as a leader. I have over 40 years of ministry experience. And although I have learned a lot, I have lots more to learn and grow. Because I was loved and received the free gift of salvation, I am 100% committed to growing the Kingdom of God through any means that He leads me. I have been married 33 years to Pilar. We have two boys, Nick (29) and Nate (25). I enjoy our two dogs, Toby and Tazzy, playing golf and reading leadership development books.
Laurie Beth comes to the Association with over 20 years' experience in nonprofit youth agency program management. She has been married to her husband, Scott, since 1987.
Laurie Beth has been with the Association since July 2014, and is available to help equip new Ministry Assistants, bookkeepers and other administrative team members to do their jobs and stay abreast of best practices in the field. If she doesn't have the answer, she'll be happy to find it for you! She is also able to help association churches with publicizing their events by creating or printing color fliers, brochures, bulletin inserts, etc.
